PORTSit is a space of encounter. An input and output channel, sharing and empowerment of the creators and communities that are participating in the residency.
A community determines, together with a creator, or local collective are a resident, visitor, together generating a crl. The program emphasizes the dialogue between the civil society, science, and technology to create a device group that is shared on a show open to the local public.
In 2018, we held the first edition, with 6 residencies conducted in the cities of La Paz, Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, Copacabana, Tarija and The High.
In 2021, are made of 3 residences in the departments of Chuquisaca, Santa Cruz, Potosí and Oruro.

In this edition of the residents work with a greater number of communities and research are spread over several months. With the support of different organizations and platforms, the results will be on display at the international level.

The sound is fundamental to the life of people who are blind, he created relationships with the space they inhabit and travel. We worked on the concept of echolocation and generated several devices record experimental using their canes as ports sound.
The result of that experience is a THRESHOLD, a performance done and presented in the Theatre of the Goethe-Zentrum Santa Cruz and at the Cinemateca Boliviana, La Paz.
The residence also developed an installation of the same name that was displayed in the Plaza Abaroa of the city of la Paz, which is mounted on a container ship (gallery mobile) and remained exposed for a month as part of the activities of the biennale.

The residency seeks to activate a field of research with recorders bolivian around the crosses between log, recorded and space púlbico. Through the use of aguarfuerte, miking of contact and transduce sound created by different objects sono-graphic.
Sono-spellings, recorded contemporary is the exhibition result of this residence. The exhibition was held in the Person’s Home Gallery. The works are a result of different actions to be executed in public spaces of the cities of la Paz and el Alto. The prints were gathered in the streets, and the prints were made in the workshops of the Higher University of San Andrés.
The actions were part of the programming of the Third Edition of Sonandes Biennial International exhibition of Sound Art installation of the same name that was displayed in the city of El Alto, which is mounted on a container ship remained exposed for a month as part of the activities of the biennale.

S. I. P. S (Sound Intervention in Public Spaces) is the result of the residence, the pieces were installed in The cities of la Paz and El Alto as part of the third edition of Sonande Biennial International exhibition of Sound Art.
The objects to mimic the sounds that are produced when cleaning and invites the public to perform exercises of listening close to the threshold of silence.

In the last decade, the ciudd of Copacabana has become an important tourist center. Its rapid population growth and the lack of policies and strategies mediambientales have caused the pollution of the lake.
Feedback trash, is the name of the work performed. It is an homage to the artist Max Neuhaus (1939-2009), a pioneer of sound art, who was the first to make a piece to be heard under the water in the seventies.
The residence also developed an installation of the same name that was displayed in square Humboldt of the city of la Paz, which is mounted on a container ship (gallery mobile) remained exposed for a month as part of the activities of the Sonandes Biennial International exhibition of Sound Art.
